What have you done after high school?
“I spent a semester in college and decided that wasn’t for me so I bounced around a bit until I landed on Half Price Books, where I have been working for the last 5 years,” Williams said.
What made you want to do what you are doing now?
“I have always been a reader and working with books helps with that love,” Williams said.
What did you learn or experience in high school affect you in college and beyond?
“I learned in high school to always do your best every day and also that some people will just dislike you for no good reason,” Williams said.
Explain your job now.
“I am a bookseller at a Half Price Books store,” Williams said. “I spend my entire shift surrounded by books and those who also love them.”
What are your plans for the future?
“I have recently gotten married and we are planning on moving to Maine in the next couple years,” Williams said.
What is your advice to current high schoolers?
“Don’t dwell on the social circumstances, most of the people you interact with in high school will not be a part of your life after,” Williams said.
