What did you learn or experience in high school affect you in college and beyond?
“Being involved in so many different activities helped me learn time management and how to prioritize things which is an important life skill,” Trent said. “Also, having teachers that set their standards high, made me set high standards for myself.”
What is your advice to current high schoolers?
You’re only in high school once and when it’s over, it’s over,” Trent said. “So soak up every moment, good, bad and ugly. Enjoy seeing your friends everyday and having essentially no responsibilities while you can. I encourage every student to step out of their comfort zone when opportunity presents itself. It may be the best decision you ever make.”
