Alumnus Aisha DeBurr graduated in 2016 and went to UNT. While in high school DeBurr participated in cheer and photojournalism.
What have you done since high school?
“I go to UNT, majoring in media arts with a minor in photography,” DeBurr said.
What made you want to do what you are doing now?
“Partially from being in photojournalism & partially I just always knew I wanted to work in television,” DeBurr said.
What did you learn in high school that affected you later in life?
“Meeting deadlines and due dates is key,” DeBurr said.
Explain what you are doing now.
“I work at the golden triangle mall guest services & a work study job at UNT,” DeBurr said. “I don’t do anything at either job, I just show up for money.”
What are your plans for the future?
“My plans for my future are sort of a lot but I’m currently a camera operator and run audio for a sports talk show for ntTV called Mean Green Gameday,” DeBurr said. “I’d like to be a technical director or director for a sports show like this or do news.”
What is your advice to current high schoolers?
“Advice: when high schools over, nothing that happened really matters so enjoy those years to be wild,” DeBurr said.
