Alumnus Brandon Compean graduated in 2014 and went to Texas A&M University. While in high school Compean played basketball and football and participated in teen leadership and Men of Tomorrow.
What have you done since high school?
“I am currently a senior at Texas A&M University and have interned at Lockheed Martin, U.K. Google Headquarters in London, and Project Engineer in San Diego,” Compean said.
What made you want to do what you are doing now?
“I chose to attend Texas A&M because it was the University I always wanted to attend,” Compean said.
What did you learn in high school that affected you later in life?
“In High School I learned to be accountable for my mistakes and my anatomy and physiology class got me a good base on how to study for classes,” Compean said.
Explain your job.
“The last internship I had was being a Project Engineer in California and I developed methods to solve issues in commercial construction projects,” Compean said.
What are your plans for the future?
“I plan to work for a company for a few years and eventually start my own business of some sort,” Compean said.
What is your advice for current high schoolers?
“My advice to current high schoolers is to enjoy high school but to not let it be the best time of their life,” Compean said. “To aspire to go to college and get a good education.”
